Jazz Heritage Center celebrates Wayne Wallace's new CD release with talk/art

On Monday, October 5thWayne Wallace, performs at Yoshi's San Francisco, to celebrate the release of his latest CD, "¡Bien, Bien!" This CD release event celebrates the latest work by Wallace, a nationally recognized musician and jazz educator (and San Francisco resident.) At 7pm, prior to his Yoshi's concert, Wayne will give a brief talk in the JHC's Lush Life Gallery (1320 Fillmore Street)entitled, "The Barbary Coast, the Fillmore and More!" The talk will be a look at the San Francisco jazz scene past, present and beyond.
As part of the Wallace celebration, the JHC will begin a special exhibition of the work (including original paintings and limited editions) of Russell Kidd, an accomplished artist who has contributed to Wallace's last two CD covers.
