The public is invited to the Opening Community Celebration for the new "Jews of the Fillmore" exhibit on Sunday July 19th from 3p.m. to 6 p.m.
The celebration will take place at the Jazz Heritage Center, located at 1330 Fillmore Street (inside the building with Yoshi's Jazz Club and Restaurant).
Admission is FREE, but advance registration is required at http://www.jewsofthefillmore.eventbrite.com
The event includes:
· Specially commissioned musical composition performed by Grammy-nominated John Schott
· Guide by Cell Audio Walking Tours allows visitors to tour sites in the neighborhood and hear stories about Jews of the Fillmore exhibit. Guide by Cell will be ongoing throughout the length of the exhibit.
· Wine reception in the Jazz Heritage Center's Lush Life Gallery, with live jazz
